Director General of State Security visits Australia

Due to an invitation by the Australian security authorities Australia, The Director General of State Security, Major General Tony Saliba, visited Australia, where he discussed common security issues, including combating terrorism and means of cooperation.
The Director General held as well several official meetings with:
- HE Mr. Milad Raad, Ambassador of Lebanon to Australia.
- HE Mr. Charbel Macaron, Consul General in Sydney.
- HE Mr. Ziad Itani, Consul General in Melbourne.
In Melbourne, Gen. Saliba met with the Deputy-Speaker of the House, Nazih Asmar, and MP Cesar Melhem, both of Lebanese origin, and the Honorary Consul General to Tasmania, Mr. Faddy Zouky. 
The Major General also held meetings with members of the Maronite League, Pastor of the Maronite Diocese of Australia, his eminence Bishop Tarabay, and the Patron of the Catholic Diocese of Australia, his eminence Bishop Rabbat, in addition to members of the Alawi Islamic Association of Victoria, with a visit to the Glenroy Private Islamic School and the St. Paul Elder Services in Melbourne.
