a graduation ceremony for a new group in the General Directorate of State Security

On 21/12/2018, the General Directorate of State Security held a graduation ceremony for a new group of its members who attended a course in Basic Fighting at the 6th Intervention Regiment - Riyak - in the presence of the representative of the Director General of State Security, Major General Tony Saliba, Administrative Colonel BecharaAl Haddad, General Directorate officers, military and security chiefs and official and judicial figures. Colonel AlHaddad delivered a speech on behalf of the Director General of State Security in which he thanked the attendees and the Army Command for their continuous cooperation and the facilities it provided to the General Directorate in various fields. He mentioned in particular the Regiment's commanders, and commissioned and non-commissioned officers who trained the personnel and exerted efforts to make a success out of this course. Moreover, he congratulated the trainees and urged them to be responsible and at the highest levels of readiness to counter terrorism, respond to the call of duty whenever needed and confront anyone who might be tempted to undermine the security or violate the right of the citizens or mess with the security and stability of the country. At the end, Colonel AlHaddad, presented an appreciation shield to the Commander of the Regiment, Staff Colonel David Bachaalani, in the name of the General Directorate of State Security as a token of thanks and gratitude.
